Getting "Plugged In" to your church
Truly belonging to your local church is much more than "showing up" on Sundays. It's about being a part of something much larger than yourself.
Churches, and members, don’t thrive, and will never grow when members are spectators only.
They grow through committed believers who show up, serve faithfully, and Biblically love people well.

Here’s some tips to help you help your church:
Attend Faithfully
Consistent attendance puts you under the preaching of the Word, among God’s people, and in the flow of church life.
Sporadic attendance produces a shallow connection every time.
Join a Small Group or Class
Sunday worship gathers the crowd; smaller settings build the church.
Whether it’s a Sunday School class, Bible study, or discipleship group, this is where names are learned, burdens are shared, and growth happens.
As the church grows larger, it has to fight to stay smaller through classes and groups. Get plugged in!
Serve Somewhere…Anywhere!
You don’t need a title.
Greeters, nursery workers, tech teams, cleaning crews, youth helpers…EVERY MINISTRY MATTERS.
Serving connects your hands to the mission and your heart to the people.
Waiting to be “asked” is usually just spiritual procrastination.
Ask your pastor and leaders "How can I help?"
Get to Know Your Pastor and Leaders
You don’t need to be best friends, but you should be known.
Introduce yourself. Shake a hand. Say thank you for the Word. God uses shepherds, and sheep flourish when relationships are real.
Commit, Don’t Consume
Church is not a spiritual buffet. It’s a body.
Consumers critique; members contribute.
When you commit, you stop asking, “What can I get?” and start asking, “How can I help?”
That shift changes everything.
Pray for Your Church
Nothing plugs you in faster than prayer.
Pray for unity.
Pray for holiness.
Pray for souls.
When you pray for your church, God ties your heart to its future.
If you treat church like an event, you’ll stay disconnected and never feel that you truly belong..
If you treat it like a family, you’ll find your place and experience growth.
Plugging in at a church is all about faithfulness.
- Start where you are.
- Serve where you can.
- Stay for the long haul.
We hope to see you Sunday!
