From Bro Cary Gomer. . .
It is hard to believe that we are nearly half way through 2026, but here we are. I want to pass along some upcoming events within the Association.
1. Next Saturday, June 13th @ 8am, we will have our first Pastor Fellowship Breakfast at Anthony & Theresa's Homecookin' in Dunlap. This is a great opportunity to just spend time together. If you have other men in your church family that have been called to the Gospel ministry, I would encourage you to bring them along as well. I've included a link to Google Maps if you need it. https://share.google/Kg8iPx8Z7GDT9fV3K
2. Our next Executive Board Meeting will be August 4th @ 6pm. Mineral Springs Baptist Church will be hosting. https://share.google/IKL1unqG8N1utAElX
3. October 6th @ 5:30-7:30pm, Kimball Baptist will be hosting a Risk Management Training with Mark Proctor, Property Manager for the TBMB. Last year's event was eye opening, to say the least. We learned a great deal more than we had anticipated and Mark wasn't able to finish all the material he had prepared. This is more than just facility security, as many of us learned last year. You, your ministry leaders, and even your building and grounds leaders will gain useful information from this time.
4. Our Annual Meeting is scheduled for October 20th to be hosted by First Baptist of Dunlap. We look forward to our time of business, fellowship, and worship! At our meeting in February, we had the pleasure of hearing Stevethen Holland's testimony. I asked him after that meeting if he would be able to speak at our Annual meeting. As many of you know, he suffered a stroke not long after that, which caused many of his speaking engagements to be canceled for this year. That being said, I just got off the phone with Steventhen Holland and he will be with us for the Annual Meeting. The Lord has blessed him greatly and he is recovering well. All glory to the Lord! We look forward to hearing what the Lord continues to do through his life. Please continue to pray for Steventhen and his family.
5. Lastly, I will be out of the office next week to attend the Southern Baptist Convention. I will, however, still be available to you. Please do not hesitate to call me. I am here to serve you and your church family. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you.
Psalm 133:1-3 "How delightfully good when brothers live together in harmony!
It is like fine oil on the head, running down on the beard, running down Aaron’s beard onto his robes. It is like the dew of Hermon falling on the mountains of Zion. For there the LORD has appointed the blessing — life forevermore."
